Amrit Bhatia
Program Manager at Amazon Web Services (AWS)
In my 18+ work experience, I worked in companies that are big names in Healthcare, aviation, Maps, Cloud services, and manufacturing industries and played a critical role in these companies managing customers, Programs. Leading as a liaison between the Business and IT. I can confidently say that one thing is common in all: building a high-quality product.
In this modern fast world, we are competing and trying to build amazing things every minute. As much as innovation is important, it costs a lot to businesses. This is where I strongly believe I play a critical role and help businesses and individuals to succeed. My box thinking and trying to help people to be innovative but in a scalable manner is the key. I have helped companies to build great products and helped the US economy and the workforce at my reach. Majority of the companies want to keep customers happy and want to do innovation but while doing that sometimes they forget the main thing which is the people and the staff who built the great product and without them, it's not possible. Even though we depend on machines a lot, they still can’t be run by humans. My goal is to showcase and lead and raise my voice toward growth but in a smarter way. Plan smart, look and pay attention to the priorities, and scale better. I have built tools, techniques, and processes which made the Software development process easy to understand. When we talk about agile, SAFe, or waterfall, people want to follow the theory that's where we fail in my point of view. We have to think about every product, and situation and give it a new point so we can think freshly. Is it really all the agile practices that will work for this company or do I need to follow a hybrid approach? This is what has kept me motivated and not been very headstrong but helped me think about each problem with a new point of view and lead the solution based on it and hold hands of the teams to lead towards success.
I am a part of a wonderful company that already is creating a larger impact. AWS is one of the best companies to work with and all the 18 leadership principles are aligned with my working ethics too. So, I definitely want to grow my career with AWS being said that I do want to help and share my expertise and skills with a larger audience. So, I see myself helping others in the same profession and helping them with my experience, and sharing my success stories to provide ideas and expertise.
